Medicine Enrichment Seminars
Engaging with your chosen subject beyond the standard curriculum is one of the notoriously challenging requirements for an Oxbridge application. Our Enrichment Seminars are designed to help you meet this criterion.
Starting from the first week of the Programme, you will be invited to attend attendance supervision sessions where you will be exposed to your chosen subject beyond what is taught in class – this is exactly what Admissions tutors are looking for.

Forms Mentoring
Every student will receive supplementary assistance from their designated Form Mentor.

What's the difference between the BMAT Tutoring Programme and the Oxbridge Medicine Programme?
The BMAT Tutoring Programme focuses entirely on preparation for the BMAT exam. This entails one-to-one tuition, a place on the BMAT course, BMAT resources and more. This Programme is designed for students who are highly confident will all other areas of their application, such as the Personal Statement and interview.
The Oxbridge Medicine Programme is a more comprehensive Programme of support which includes preparation for the Personal Statement and Interviews. You would get extra support such as mock interviews, Personal Statement redrafts and additional one-to-one tutoring hours.
How are my BMAT tutoring sessions arranged?
You can book your tutoring sessions through your UniAdmissions Portal. The Portal is the central point of your Programme and will contain all of your BMAT resources, seminar access and lots of useful information.
No other BMAT tuition provider has a system close to the UniAdmissions Portal!
Do I have to prepare for the BMAT and the UCAT?
That depends entirely on you. You only sit the Admissions Test that is relevant to the Medical Schools you are applying for, so if you plan to apply to only BMAT Medical Schools, then you do not need to sit the UCAT.
However, we do advise against doing this, as it is best to have a backup plan. If you are planning on sitting the UCAT as well, we recommend the Oxbridge Medicine Programme as it covers support for both exams.

How did I submit my BMAT essay for marking?
Who are your BMAT tutors?
Every BMAT tutor at UniAdmissions is carefully vetted by our team. You will only ever be matched with experienced, highly knowledgeable tutors who are truly experts in the BMAT exam.
If you are ever unhappy with your tutor (an unlikely occurrence), then your dedicated Programme Manager will arrange a better-suited tutor for you.
When should I start preparing for the BMAT?
We recommend starting your BMAT preparation well in advance. The more time you allow yourself to get ready for the exam, the higher you will score. The reason for this is because the BMAT is unlike any exam most students have previously taken. It is an exam which covers up to GCSE knowledge, but the application of knowledge is what throws students off.
The Programme teaches you each of the question types you will face, and strategies to overcome them quickly.
What does the BMAT stand for?
The BMAT stands for “Biomedical Admissions Test”. It is often shortened by universities and providers.
Why shouldn't I just book a BMAT course instead of a Programme?
The BMAT cannot be prepared for adequately in a day or two. We’ve found, through years of research and preparing students for the BMAT, that preparing over a longer period of time is a much more effective way of embedding the knowledge needed to perform on the day and ultimately score highly in the BMAT.
