Subject specific mock interviews will test you on your academic knowledge of the course you are applying for. Often, these interviews will go through the syllabus for the first teaching year and topics you should be acutely familiar with.

A strong knowledge of your subject is required to pass the interview stage since all the passion in the world cannot substitute for academic knowledge. This mock interview will allow you to learn how to better answer questions and display the full extent of your subject knowledge.

You will receive a mock interview which focuses completely on your personal statement; a key component to your application. Your interviewer will be an experienced Oxbridge tutor who will run through commonly asked questions and test you on your personal statement.

You’ll receive detailed written and verbal feedback at the end of the interview to show where you can improve – these points will be worked on through your tuition.

A key part of the interview process is conveying, to your interviewer, the passion you have for the subject. There are thousands of capable candidates who apply for competitive courses – why should the interviewer consider you above other academically matched applicants?

This mock interview will focus on your motivation to study your subject to ensure you can correctly demonstrate why you are the right candidate for your course.

Although specific interviews are useful for improving your performance on those topics, the real scenario will be a general interview which touches on many points and delves deep into a few.

The general mock interview will be carried out, as always, by an Oxbridge expert and will be very close to the style of the true university interview. You will receive detailed feedback on your performance.

You will be taught useful techniques and strategies to help construct answers to common questions and improve your interview style.
